The Emerald Suite runs specialist services, some of which are hospital services that are run in the community rather than at hospital.  Access to these services is via the GP.
Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.
New Patients
If you wish to register with us please telephone or call in and make an appointment to see the practice nurse for a new patient interview.  You will be asked to complete a registration form and you will need to bring 2 forms of identification e.g. passport and recent utility bill.

Sexual Health

Sexual Health at Windhill Green

 

Are you concerned that you may have a sexually transmitted infection? On average 10 percent of sexually-active people between the ages of 16 to 25 years of age have a sexually transmitted infection called Chlamydia. In many cases you will not even know you have this infection- 70% of women and 50% of men have no symptoms!

 

At Windhill Green we offer a service for all ages to have tests for different sexually transmitted infections and also to have any appropriate treatment.  The service has been running for over one year and is run by Dr James Nelson who has nearly 10 years experience in this subject. In addition other doctors in the practice have been trained in sexual health including Dr Abby Winter and Dr Charlotte Bachelor.  

 

A limited number of appointments are available every day Monday to Friday.  If you would like to have a sexual health screen you can book appointments by ringing Windhill Green on 01274 584223 or the central booking service on 01274 200024.  A  

 

If you are male please remember not to pass urine for at least an hour before your appointment!  Finally if you have booked an appointment and find you cannot make it please remember to cancel the appointment by ringing Windhill Green.   The service is confidential and non-judgemental so if you are concerned you may have a sexual-health problem or simply want to get a ‘check-up,’ make an appointment and see if we can help you.
