Contraception and Sexual Health

pregnantThe practice runs a "drop-in" Contraception and Sexual Health service every Monday evening in the Emerald Suite, between 4.00 and 6.30pm. Our nurses are able to give advice, issue condoms, emergency contraception and prescribe the contraceptive pill and the contraceptive injections, as well as offer sexual health advice and screening for sexually transmitted infections (this service is open to both male and female patients of the practice). Coil and Implant fittings and removals may be booked in advance by speaking to a doctor, nurse pracitioner or family planning nurse.

Please note that we will not routinely perform smear tests in this clinic unless an internal examination is required for another reason. Please make a smear appointment with our practice nurse via reception.
