Dr John A Bibby BSc (Hons) MB ChB (Leeds 1978) FRCGP DCH DRCOG PGC (Primary Care Ed) PGC (Leadership for Quality Improvement)

 

A partner with the practice since 1983.  He has longstanding interests in education and NHS quality improvement.  John coordinates undergraduate and postgraduate medical training/appraisal for the Bradford & Airedale Teaching Primary Care Trust and is the Clinical lead for Leadership and Quality Improvement at the national Improvement Foundation.


Dr Stephen Urwin MB ChB (Hons) (Leeds 1981) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

 

Specialist skills: diabetes.

A partner with the practice since 1985.  GP trainer since 1990.  The only full time partner to be based mainly at Cliffe Avenue.  GP Specialist in diabetes.  He leads the Satellite clinic for insulin treated diabetics in the practice.  He is involved in teaching the medical students.


Dr Colin C Passant MB ChB (Leeds 1985) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

 

Specialist skills: minor surgery & pain management.

A partner with the practice since 1990.  Responsible for the development of minor surgery facilities within the practice.  Holds Child Health Surveillance clinics at both surgeries.  He is responsible for pain relief clinic within the practice and holds a qualification in, and practices, acupuncture.  He is the Mental Health Lead within the practice.  Responsible for health and safety at both practices.  He is involved in medical student teaching.


Dr Jane Petty BSc (Hons) MB ChB (Leeds 1990) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

 

Specialist skills: neurology.

Joined the practice in September 1995  having spent the previous 12 months with the practice as part-time Registrar.  She was accepted as a GP trainer in 2002.


Dr Stephen P Chadwick MB ChB (Leeds 1991) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

 

Specialist skills:  dermatology, minor surgery/minor eye surgery.

Joined the practice as a partner in July 1998.  He has longstanding interests in dermatology, opthalmology, minor surgery and joint injections.  He is a GP specialist providing locality services in these areas.


Dr Abigail Winter MB ChB (Leeds 1995) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

 

Specialist skills: gynaecology and family planning.

Joined the practice as a partner in July 2002 and works mainly at Cliffe Avenue Surgery.  Is doctor responsible for the weekly drop-in Contraception and Sexual Health Clinic.


Dr Michelle Eldridge MB ChB (Leeds 1996) DRCOG MRCGP DFFP

 

Specialist skills:  diabetes and undergraduate education.

Joined the practice as a partner in February 2003.  Responsible for medical student and undergraduate education.  Has an interest in diabetes running the in-house diabetes clinic.  Holds child health surveillance clinics at Windhill Green.

 

The doctors practice together as a non-limited partnership.

Dr James Nelson MB ChB (Leeds 1998) MRCGP, PhD BSc (Hons)

 

Currently employed as a part time GP.   Interests in infectious diseases and sexual health including sexually transmitted infections.


Dr Louise Gazeley MBBS (Newcastle upon Tyne 1997) MRCGP DFFP


Joined the practice as an assistant in 2004 following General Practice training in Bradford.  Passed MRCGP with merit and holds the Diploma in Family Planning.

 

Dr Jagruti Amin BA (Hons-Cantab) BM.B.Ch (Oxford 1999) MRCP MRCGP DFFP

 

Joined the practice in July 2007 having previously trained in Haematology before training in General Practice at Airedale.  Passed MRCGP with distinction.  Looking to develop an interest in teaching.

 

Dr James O'Shea MBBS (Newcastle upon Tyne 2003) MRCGP

 

Joined the practice in August 2007 having previously spent time working in palliative medicine.  Passed MRCGP with merit and is looking to develop a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine.
